Delta upgraded me to first class my first time flying with them back in 2005. It was very much appreciated

I recently flew the same type aircraft to Rome. For a someone 195cm the lie flat is useless. i had to sleep sitting up with a slight recline. The soft product was not up to Singapore standards. No offer of pre meal drinks or dessert. Breakfast service was equally unimpressive and rushed. No offer at all of hot beverages. I used book the cook and was served Lobster Thermidor that was cold and tasted as if the on ground prep had burned the dish. My wife couldn’t eat hers and sent it back. Not rushing back to Changi anytime soon.

These seats for the price are the worst seats ever !!! I'm 6ft and feel like the seats are only designed for people much much smaller - anyone bigger, you're in for a real bad & uncomfortable experience and if you're even slightly over weight, watch out as you will undoubtedly feel the squeeze . And believe me, the toilets are just as bad - so small . "All" the seats are facing away from the windows - so you cannot see out !!! also you cannot sit next to you partner or wife or husband, in fact with the noise of the aircraft you'll struggle to talk to them. I genuinely do not recommend this seating or toilet option - certainly not worth the money. Staff and food was good, everything else a total failure !!!

Without doubt Emirates A380 is number 1. Love flying business class Melb-Europe.

Just landed this morning from Singapore -A350 business class. Given a choice I would choose Emirates hands down, for comfort, service and amenities.

Flew to Amsterdam from NZ on Singapore Airlines back in 2018. Excellent flight even in economy.

Thanks Dennis, SQ are amazing. Long layover in Singapore, recommend heading into the city (Marina Bay Sands area) for quick sight see. Easy to do & worth it, even for 3-4hrs, with enough time for shower @ the lounge afterwards (a must after being in the heat) 😁

Can you run through what goes in your carry-on, particularly when you're doing an outfit and shower change mid-trip? How much do you have to plan ahead!

I love Singapore Airlines and you were partly responsible for my decision to upgrade to Business Class on Singapore to make a long awaited re-visit to my favourity country, Australia - I saw your and other vloggers trips in Business Class and I decided if I was going to go back to Australia, it was going to be in Business Class (my last economy trip was survivable but jeez, it was hard). I managed to find a travel agent who specialised in low cost business class, and my dream became reality. My only regret is that I didn't give Singapore long enough, and that I didn't give myself enough time to transit in SQ on the way home. I flew A380 LHR - SIN, then A350 SIN - PER - then A350 BNE - SIN - then 777 SIN - LHR. The best overall was the A380, the best for sleeping was the 777. The regional A350 was great for 5 - 8 hour flights with so many options of food, drink, entertainment and sleeping that the time flew. IMO Singapore Airlines knocked it out of the park. My trip to Australia was amazing and by upgrading to Business Class, so was the getting there and back. Thank you Dennis for the inspiration that gave me life-long happy memories!

Business class is most likely good. However the Singapore airlines economy Adelaide to Singapore is terrible. They know they have little competition ex Adelaide and the seat pitch is awful. I am a big frame but not fat and the tray table pushes uncomfortably in the guts. The food offerings since Covid ex Adelaide is terrible. On top of that they have removed the good A350s rom the route with suspect 787s. Even to day they have found faults on the riveting of 787s. How do they know it did not happen to past units. Then SQ712 SIN to BKK has also been changed to a suspect 787, the meal service on that is slop in a cardboard box. Our most recent trip was three weeks ago and we have used Singapore frequently on these routes since 1996, however we will now avoid S Q at all costs using the opposition or going via Melbourne with others. Shame on SQ management, crew are great but management uncaring for Adelaide.

Definitely prefer getting onto Europe Timezone asap. Prefer to arrive midday so it’s not so long to try and stay awake once you land, and try to sleep on the flights approximately when it’s overnight/early morning in Europe.

Always a first class video. Singapore airlines are one of the best there is. We are seriously thinking of transferring from Qantas to Virgin and use Singapore for our international travel. Thank you for all your hard work. 👍

For a flight departing at that time, I'd almost prefer a light snack/meal afer takeoff then a good breakfast prearrival to get a good rest.

Agree completely with you on the SQ long haul seats. I won’t fly them in J long haul precisely because of this experience.

Great video Dennis! Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 Air seems GREAT! Truly a lost gem 💎 in a swarm or other more well known airlines and they remind me a lot of Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 Airlines a pretty small not super famous carrier but they do all the right things and do them very well! Also at 1:45 that helicopter 🚁 is doing what is called “hover taxiing” a very standard practice for a helicopter it’s perfectly safe and pretty fun to watch or to ride in! That helicopter is also an Airbus AS-350 better known as an “A-Star” or now H-125 they’re FABULOUS aircraft mostly sold to tour operators as they have large picture windows great for sightseeing flights to some BEAUTIFUL places or some people have used them as business transport corporate aircraft too. I totally agree with your comments, Dennis. Just back from BNE - MUC- BNE on SQ Business. They are my go-to airline for trips to Europe. I found the only disappointing issue is the seat design on Regional or Medium-haul Business. The hard moulding privacy barrier restricts space around your shoulder area and obscures any viewing out the window. The long haul business seat is the best I've found on all the carriers that I've flown!!

As an Australian, don’t we call them bar trolleys like we do for the shopping trolleys (shopping cart in America) and luggage trolley (luggage cart in America)? I did see 2 places in circular quay say “takeaway coffee cart” instead of “takeaway coffee trolley”, and the coffee cart looked like the bar cart here.

The SQ A350 lie-flat seats are definitely a polarizing topic. Personally, I had no problem with it at all (probably because I'm a side sleeper). I flew SQ 22 from SIN to EWR, which left Changi at around midnight, and was able to get an (almost) uninterrupted 9 hours of sleep on that flat bed! I do understand the complaints as it is a very awkward looking bed.

A few issues with Singapore Airlines Dennis. Yes the crews are great way better on nine out of ten times I fly. But, just now and again, the team theme falls apart. Do you have an insight as to why? To my horror, SQ have started to allow dogs onboards. It seems that any neurotic twat can get a certificate to bring their fury fetish to join them. This disgusts me. Finally, the long- haul seats are great for munchkins and fat people. But, for men and women of stature, they are less than ideal. My feet just don't fit into that tiny cubby hole.

Just a heads up Dennis…the intro vision and audio is slightly out of sync.

Do business class passengers get priority at the baggage control near check-in?

I hate late flights. I always sleep then have breakfast I eat at the lounge when I fly Business class, when you pay as much as these seats are I tend to use all of what's on offer... The good thing with these airlines at least you can get a sack if you are a little hungry....

It doesn't look like anybody else noticed looking at the first few comments but I just couldn't watch the words don't match your mouth so distracting the timing is slightly off is like watching something on subtitles with no subtitles lol

Nice. From an Australian perspective, I like to see the whole trip. Nothing worse than a single flight tease that doesn't even come close to anything an Aussie has to deal with. Also - Dine on demand & sleep, to give passengers the chance to work on their body clock.

Flew Singapore Airlines Business to Vietnam and back last year, a few days in Singapore on the way home. Was not impressed. Felt like I was ignored. Also, when my preordered meal came with baked beans, they just scraped them off the plate. I can’t have gluten so couldn’t eat any of it. Never again. I do enjoy your reviews, Dennis. 👋🏻🇦🇺

So pleased you’ve highlighted SQ’s terrible sleeping positions with their seats. Hopefully they will learn and incorporate better seats from the big exhibition in Dubai for airline seating. Still can’t believe people actually believe they are any good. Will be experiencing the A350 back to SIN from CPH on Sunday. Not looking forward to it.
